Long-Term Care Planning Month is held annually each October. It has been listed in the renowned reference book of holidays, Chase's Calendar (www.Chases.com), since 2001. This is the companion web site to the event.

Long-Term Care Planning Month was founded by Marilee Driscoll, the author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Long-Term Care Planning." Miss Driscoll created the site for two reasons:

1) to provide up-to-date, unbiased, objective information and perspective on the many aspects of long term care planning, and;

2) to help the many consumers who have written her asking for local help, by providing on the site a directory of associations and businesses who can help at a local level.

The work of the site is supported by official sponsors. Opinions and views on the site are not necessarily those of our sponsors. Organizations can be listed in our local help page by, for a nominal fee, becoming sponsors. In addition to the listing on the site, they receive many tools and resources that help them encourage long term care planning in their own communities.
